Italian American Women's Association

Welcome to the Italian American Women's Association

The IAWA is a non-profit organization founded in 1984. Our goal is to explore, preserve, and promote Italian culture, language, history and traditions. We do this by performing charitable work and fostering social interaction within the Erie community.

Our mission is to promote an active interest in civic affairs and to raise money to support local charities and to award Italian Heritage Scholarships to deserving women of the local community.

We have social activities including a Summer Picnic, holiday celebrations and monthly fellowship to continue learning about our Italian Culture.

We are always excited to welcome women who are excited to learn and share their Italian culture.

Our meetings are for fellowship, planning and to learn more about the integration of Italian culture to American culture.

We have at least one fundraiser each year to subsidize our chosen Charities and Heritage Scholarship(s).
